Upon request of a PrimeFaces PRO user, tagCloud component has been enhanced with  interactivity. Items can now either be used as regular links or as command items via optional select ajax behavior event. Demo is available at PrimeFaces Labs....

A PrimeFaces PRO User has been using panels side by side and they required horizontal toggling for a flexible UI. Panel had toggle support for a long time but it only applies to vertical direction. In order to provide this for them, we have added toggleOrientation feature with vertical (default) and horizontal as valid values. See PrimeFaces Labs for the live demo!...

A PrimeFaces PRO user requested a filter to deal with large amount of items in SelectOneMenu. To provide this feature, we've added an input field with filter icon inside the dropdown. Filtering is enabled by setting filter attribute to true and match mode is configured with filterMatchMode attribute taking startsWith (default), contains, endsWith, custom as valid options. When custom filtering is used, filterFunction should be defined to implement custom filtering. All of this happens on client side...

We've been working on PrimeFaces maintenance of 3.4 only for some time and trying not to get excited by new feature ideas. However there is one request we couldn't resist to implement on a saturday. A user requested a command navigation component such as; http://example.irian.at/trinidad-demo/faces/components/commandNavigationItem.jspx Well, challenge was accepted and we created tabMenu component; There are also plans for enhancements like a second level of submenus below the first level but that's for future. PrimeFaces PickList gets two major features for 3.4 release; Filtering and Ajax Transfers. Filtering PickList now supports client side filtering with 4 different match modes, startsWith, contains, endsWidth and custom. If you need custom filtering, you can bind your own javascript function via filterFunction option. Filtering is done on keyup event of an input field placed on top of the lists.
