October is over and so is Tour De PrimeFaces where PrimeFaces lead Cagatay Civici has visited JavaOne in San Francisco, ParisJUG in France and BeJUG-BruJUG in Belgium. We would like to give an update to PrimeFaces community on a roadmap change, as we announced before PrimeFaces 4.0 replaced 3.5 mainly due to PrimeUI but we have decided to revert this decision and get back to 3.5 and reserve 4.0 for JSF 2.2 compatibility. Our initial idea was to create PrimeUI and make PrimeFaces use PrimeUI internally but PrimeUI would be using jQuery UI WidgetFactory and PrimeFaces would be keeping the mature JSF optimized...

We are excited to announce a new spin-off project project called PrimeUI from PrimeFaces Team. PrimeUI is a set of javascript widgets to create rich UIs easily.
